Ol Shep - Ol Shelp needs a long-term foster home or adoptive home ! This 10 year old cocker spaniel has been bounced around from home to home since his previous owner passed away. He really needs a long term, stable and patient home where he can stay until he finally outgrows his bad habit of resource guarding. He should be the only dog in the home, but he is good with cats. Ol Shep is a sweet old guy about 95% of the time. He loves going for walks and never pulls on the leash. He adores being around people - he'll follow you around the house and curl up at your feet whenever you sit down. Unfortunately, the other 5% of the time he can be bad. He can bite if he feels his space is invaded, or HIS possessions are 'threatened'. . He knows several commands, including sit, go lie down, come, and off, and he is crate trained. He loves having his tummy scratched and will happily go belly-up for complete strangers. He does sometimes growl/cry when pet, which has scared more than a few people off, but it's actually kind of endearing once you're used to it! Shep has the potential to be a really good dog, but he needs a little work to get there. Unfortunately, because of his age, training is an uphill battle. Ol Shep needs to be treated as a dog who resepects his leader (you!), more than a pet!. He should go to a knowledgeable dog owner with a very firm hand. Cagney - Casey was hit by a car when she was 1 year old..had surgery on her hip and she limps a bit but does not slow her down. She has a great disposition, loves everyone, she is always at you side. She also gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids. Lacey- Lacey is a loving dog as well, very affectionate.. She is great around other dogs and cats...a bit shy around kids.
	Buddy -I am a Cocker Spaniel, male, 11-12 yrs old, a very sweet and loving boy. I am very well behaved - I obey all commands from my foster mom! For my age I am still in a good shape - I love to walk and even run! I love to be around people. I am good with children, cats and most dogs. 	Freelander- I am a beagle-basset hound X, female about 7 yrs old. is an independent. Here is a bio by my foster mom: "Freelander is quiet and sweet girl. She is fully housetrained, doesn't chew on anything and listens really well. She can be left home alone and out at night, she does not need to be crated. Freelander knows some basic commands like come, sit and stay and is a very quick learner. While she likes to sleep she LOVES to go for walks and is good on a leash. She does pull a bit to follow her nose but with gentle reminders walks nicely beside you. Freelander gets along with other dogs (has previously lived with another dog) and is wonderful with the cats she is currently living with. She is working with her foster mom to not be protective of her food when there are other animals are around. Freelander is not a demanding dog and very enjoyable to have around." 	Happy Silver Annie- I'm a beautiful Tan/blonde 12-year-old female cocker spaniel, about 20 lbs, with a sweet gentle soul. I'm a bright-eyed, happy, healthy lady, who enjoys her daily strolls through the neighbourhood, exploring the backyard, & rolling in the grass. I'm living with 2 other dogs & 2 cats in my current foster home -- that's fine with me 'cause I'm so good-natured & get along fine with everyone. My house-manners are impeccable, & I just need to go out to relieve myself about every 4 hours during the day. After my ex-owners gave me up last year, I thought I was lucky enough to find another home, unfortunately my second Mom died about 2 weeks ago. Here I am, hoping to get lucky again & find new parent(s). I've been a well-loved family pet, & it shows -- I come with my own bed, home-made winter & spring coats, & dishes!! 	Rocky - I am a Labrador X, male puppy, about 12 weeks old. I need a stable, responsible and committed family who is willing to put in time, love and funds for some 15+ years! He loves to cuddle and play and he is already learning how to fetch a ball. He is used to a crate and will sleep through the night in one without much crying. Like all young pups, Rocky will need lots of time and attention and training - he still need to be housetrained. Labradors require lots of exercise and Rocky is no exception. To ensure your furniture survives puppy I suggest buying many chew toys for rocky as this will help with boredom as well as teething. 	Zack - I am a beagle, male, 9-10 yrs old, less than 25 lbs. I am a very friendly and great-spirited dog with a lot of love to give. I am typical of the beagle breed - even-tempered and a gentle disposition. I am housetrained. too. I am excellent with dogs and cats . Although I am a bit older, I still love to go on walks several times a day (if you dont take me, I will bark!) The rest of the time I just relax, sit on your lap or just hang out, or sleep... I love tocuddle - the type of dog that will try to get under the covers with you, just to be close and loved. Senior beagles are the true gems that get looked over. They are the ultimate easy going dog, fitting into almost any home. By nature they will follow their nose away and therefore a dog park or a well fenced backyard will be necessary for off leash time. 	Pepsi - I am a Yellow Labrador X, 12-13 yrs old, male . Don't pass me by because I am an older guy, as I am a healthy 'distinguished gentleman'! For my age, I am in a pretty good shape. I can still go up and down stairs several times a day! I am very friendly and gentle. I know my boundary at home and am well-behaved, housetrained. I am great on leash and get along well around other dogs, even puppies. I have a very good disposition. Everyone who meets me is really impressed by my nice demeanor and sweet personality - I like humans, and love to greet you and give you lots of kisses!. 	Georgia - I am a Hound X, 8 yrs old, 42 lbs. Here's a bio by my foster mom: "Georgia is a wonderful, mature lady who is gentle and friendly, and at the least, very tolerant, of all who come in contact with her. She enjoys meeting other dogs and people alike. Georgia is wonderful with children and is playfully intrigued by cats. She loves to go for walks, and while she is good on a leash, on occasion will get a scent on something and abruptly change direction. She is easily corrected, however, and is eager to please. She is socialized with other dogs (her current new best friend is an 9 month old, 100 lb male Rotteweiler) and she will romp and play happily. Georgia would love to have a yard to explore and play in too. She is fully house trained, an excellent car passenger and will only bark when playing with other dogs. 	Miles - I am a 4-5 year old Walker hound weighing about 50lbs. I've had a rough life up until now, but I'm learning how to be happy again! I love playing with other dogs and being silly. Having a fenced yard to play in is great! I'm learning to deal with my separation anxieties, and so I'd like to have a home where someone is home during the day and I will not be left for very long periods of time. I'm a pretty smart guy, and learning my obedience commands quickly! I don't mind kids, but I'd probably be happier in a home without children under 12. I'm very sweet and affectionate once I've learned to trust you. All I ask for is a little patience, a lot of love and I will make someone a very loyal and loving companion!" 	Tugboat -I am an Australian Cattle Dog X, male, about 1 yr old, 40 lbs (I am a chubby boy of a small frame!). I am a friendly, smart and active guy. I am very young and sometimes behave very much like a puppy, but I am fully house trained already.. I get along fine with other dogs and am living with several dogs, big and small, in my foster home! I should not go to a home with cats though. I am good with kids but with my energy level and strength I am more suitable for older children. I LOVE to go for walks, and would benefit from some training on my manners! I have lots of energy and loves to run around so a home with a yard is necessary. I am also great on car rides. I love attention and company and needs someone that will enjoy spending a lot of time with me taking me for long walks, playing with me and giving me belly rubs. I love the outdoors , and enjoy playing and rolling l in the snow. I am well behaved in the house and housetrained. I can sit and shake hand if I am in the mood - I can be a diva, but that makes me more adorable! I am living with a cat in my foster home. I may get along with other dogs if they let me be the boss! 	George & Susy - *(COURTESY LISTING) URGENT SENIOR COUPLE DESPERATE FOR LOVING HOME - MUST STAY TOGETHER*** These companions need to stay together - they have been together since they were very young. They are seniors, but in excellent health. They need mild exercise and loving, attentive companionship. Both are excellent around children, cats and other dogs. Both are up to date on all shots, heartworm etc. These two darlings have a lot to give someone, so please do not let their age deter you. Dogs are the most loving and loyal creatures and and give back all the love and devotion that we give them, and then some* George was born in July 1999, this beautiful, neutered, chocolate Lab had surgery on his back legs (cruciate repairs) years ago, so goes at a slower pace and has some arthritis.This does not bother him though as he would much prefer to sit with people and be stroked and talked to.. Susie is a sweetheart of a black Lab born in June 1999, she is spayed, mildly deaf but is super gentle and very easy going. 	Bea - (COURTESY LISTING): Bea is super happy big hearted lab with loads of love to give. If you could, go ahead and pet her all day, well that would be fine by her! She ignores her feline housemates and tolerates her boisterous puppy housemate. She'd probably prefer to have a calmer room mate (I don't think she'd mind having all the attention to herself for that matter). She's been good with company. She is also good off leash and at the dog park. She likes to go for walks, but not too long. She is a mature lady, but does not let it hold her back. 	Loui - (aka Cojack) - I am a Terrier X, male, about 11 yrs old, about 40 lbs. Here's a bio by my foster mom: Louie has come a long way from a frightened, traumatized, grumpy and growling stray, to a loving and tail-wagging dog that wants to kiss and cuddle with me, sometimes begging for a gentle rub on his head!. At night, he lies at our feet watching TV. With consistency, kindness, firmness and commitment, Louie will make some kind person a great companion. He has proved to be nothing more than a joy in our home. He needs a quiet home where there are no small children - preferably of a stay-home owner. A home with a yard would be great as he is still energetic for his age. He is learning fast and seems to be very intelligent and loyal. He is now house trained and is learning to trust. He enjoys car rides and long walks. He behaves very well on walks, and also reacts well to the dogs he meets. He does at times seem to guard his food but willingly takes treats and snacks from our hands. Louie needs a guardian angel who will be dedicated and committed to him for the rest of his life. 	Taco- I am a Spaniel X, male, about 12 yrs old. Dont pass me by because I am an older boy. I am still in a very good shape (I dont even appear to have arithritus! and have lots to give. In fact,my foster mom cannot think of any 'negative' things about me! I am a very friendly, gentle and affectionate dog. My tail is always wagging. I am quiet, yet would bark when someone is at the door! . I am livng with another dog and a few cats.
