BEFORE

Founded in 1999, The Mississauga Humane Society is a non-profit, legally registered, 100% VOLUNTEER RUN charity dedicated to the rescue of companion animals who otherwise may be killed in the many overcrowded city pounds, as well as animals scheduled to be sent for research.

As we do not have a shelter yet, most of our animals are placed in foster homes

Our Objectives and Mission

We strive to rescue animals in need regardless of their age, physical condition or adoptability. Our final goal is to find a permanent loving home for each of these animals where they can enjoy love and freedom, which all animals deserve. Our Mission is to establish a safe haven/shelter for all these rescued animals where they are wanted, honored and loved, where they will live in a happy and free environment until a permanent home is found.

Our Goal:

To Create LA's Safe Haven

IN MEMORY OF LESLEY ANN TIPPING (LA)

How We Run

We rely solely on Donations and Volunteers. All donations go to the care of these rescued animals which includes spaying/neutering, vet visits, kennel fees, advertising fees etc. A portion of the donations will be reserved for the establishment of a haven/shelter. Volunteers, especially FOSTER PARENTS, are our lifeblood. Because of the support/sponsorship of caring individuals/corporations, these poor animals are able to get a 2nd chance and eventually adopted into wonderful homes.
